Rose at 5.30. Wrote journals till 7. Gray ― cloudy fine.

Walked in garden & looked at fowls till 8.15. Breakfast with Sir F. Doyle: & at 8.40. to rail with him, & so to town ― & home by 10.15[.] Found letters from ― Emma & M. Parkyns.

Mrs. Hankey ― & many more. Wrote lots of notes ―

Penned out & coloured all day. ― came.

She is so like her mother!!! ―

At 5 or 6 came a Mr. StewartHodgson, a relation of Mrs. Lyalls ― & bought the Tepedelen, & the last of the 3 athenses. ―

At 7.30. to F.L.’s.

saw the little Girl ― a fine child.
