Quite fine ― but over warm ― all day.

Fires, left off totally, some time ago.

Began to work on “Florence” ― but got the color worse ―: so, having done somewhat also to Argostoli, I resolved to do no more. Whereon I cleaned off & shut up all my oils & colors, & placed the pictures against tables for anyone to see who chose ― in the next 2 days ― sending G. to the Boyds, De Veres, De Fontblanques & Baring with notes.

The Boyds came, & Majr. Darling.

At 6 ― walked a little way ― by Καστράδες.

Dined alone ― but there were no letters, so I waxed cross & went to bed early.
