Dull ― warm ― & at times a little rain, but one sits with open windows nowadays. Worked at “Florence” ― a load of detail ―yet I am not even certain yet what it will turn out to be. Wright of the 2nd 9th called ― & at 1 ― Wade-Browne ― in time to see the last explosion of the Fort Neuf wall. ― great lots of people looking on. Later Craven , (very cross & disagreeable,) came, & Fisher of Cephalonia ― whose place C. takes, ― F. going to Hong King. ― I incline to packing & sending things off to England ― & going myself to Palestine.
