Fine ― placid pleasant ― all day.

Overslept ― & didn’t rise till 8.30. ―

Painted at the goats & foregrounds of Argostoli, but discontinuously ― till 4.30.

Saw the Wolff come by Italian Steamer[.] Invite from Palace for today ― & Sunday.

At 4.30. tried to walk the “Parga road,” but phailed from mud: ― so went by a smaller giro. Depression ― horrid ― of mind & physicals. διατί;[1]

At Palace ― at 7.30
