Monday, 8 February 1864

Dark & wet, & towards 4 P.M. ― high wind, shifting N.E., N.W., & S.W. Very high & violent. The Steamer due on the 7th came in about 3 ― 2 papers ― no letters. ―

Worked at Jameson’s Florence & Bruce’s Argostoli, pencilling out the architecture, & getting the former in in umber & vermillion.

Noise of wind ― distressing to my nerves. Did not go out. Worked till dusk. ―

Dined μοναχῶς.

Penned out ― Rakli drawings ― till 10[.]
