Tolerably fine ― i.e. ― gray & gleamy, but coldish.

Rose at 9. ― Not in much pain ― but still very unwell.

Drew a little ― finishing the 6 Water color’d drawings ― & put the ˇ[long] room quite ready for oil=painting.

Wright & 3 of the 9th called ― & Phillipps & 2 of the 6th Hall & Græme.

Letter from the 6th asking me to dine on the 4th ― “to meet the L.H.C.[”] But I wrote ― too unwell.

Ate hardly any breakfast ― or dinner ― a little broth.

Penned out for an hour, & bed at 8. ―
