Bright & lively but cold.

Ill & vexed. Worked at A. Drummond’s Damascus.

Certainly it is not possible to see in all this world aught more lovely than S. Salvador from 3 to 4 ― peach blossoms & blue & pink rose ― & somewhat like a form of velvet: covered hill.

Cold somewhat better but did not go out[.]

Oswald Middleton, & Napier Sturt came to me, ― nice lads both. The Evening passed pleasantly ― showing them drawings.
