Breakfast at 7.45 ― & off from Stratford Place by 8.30[.] Rail to Leatherhead by 10. ― Walked to Ellen’s. ― talk, & reading letters of the Americans. Walk with E. to Norbury park: ― very pretty.

back by 1.30

Staid till 4.15. ― At 4.40 ― to Victoria station ― & home by 6.30. Tea, & bed by 9[.]

C. Wynne has married a widow, Mrs. L’Estrange ― with 6 children.
