Tuesday, 10 November 1863

Very cold & damp & horrid. Of course, this affects my inside directly.

Wrote “Letterpress” all day ― till 4.30. Called at on Prince at 5.20 ― & so to W. Nevill’s. Willie N. was there & his bride ― a really nice modest little woman ― sensible & quiet ― & playing Beethoven & Mendelsohn well. ―

Came home ― cab ― at 10.30.
