Rose at 8 ― Fine. Breakfast ― merry. ― (rain, from 12 to 1)

Afterwards ― painting in M.P.’s room ― with Mrs. C. & P. Abraham. Then ― walk with M.P. Mrs. C. ― & poor Gussie to the Kitchen Garden.

Singing ― till Lunch. ― Afterwards ― singing again. Then walking solo by those lovely Spring woods from 3.30 ― to 4.30 ― & ditto with M.P. till 5.30. Dressed. ― Mrs. J. Bethell.

Dinner at 6.30 ― the L.C. very kindly about it. He takes another Copy ― & Cardew 2.

At 8.30 ― took leave ― & wished poor dear little Gussie good-bye. Down to Rail ― & to town & Stratford Place by 10.

A pleasant but very sad visit. What will be the end of this odious matter?

Mannys 7. children are ducks all.
