Rose before 7. Mostly a rainy day ― with gleams & darkness by fits.

3. subscribers ― Cave, & 2 Lushingtons.

Worked from 10 to 5.30. at the 14th Drawing ― No. 3. Virô.

Sad I am: ― no help for it.

By the Papers, I see Corfû & Paxô have voted for annexation.

If it were not for some things I would wish to go to Spain ― or anywhere. ―

Moreover, I doubt getting any time ˇ[at all] by this work of mine ― this lovely Lithography.

At 7 ― to Mr. Morier’s.

Dinner good Y pleasant ― & lively ――― dear old Mr. Morier wonderfully full of life & fun. ―

Later, music. ―

Walked home by 11.20. ―

Inspector of schools ― What is the pestilence that walketh ˇ[in darkness?], “He maun be a flea or a bug.” ―
