Somewhat better. But [the groove] of Early-rising is lost. Breakfast at 8. Wrote to Ellen, Mrs. Martineau, & Wade-Browne. ― Occupied the morning in making 10 tracings ― 3. Sta. Maura, 3 Zante, 3 Κεφαλέννια ― 1. Cerigo.

Dined at 3. a sole fish solo ― cum beer; & at 4.30 ― went to the East Cliff, & drew “all over the place” till 7.20. Then, returning, met, & walked back with Wm. Scrivens ―. Home by 8.45.

Pie for supper.
