Sunday, 2 August 1863

Rose at 6.30. Breakfast. Gray ― afterwards ― fine.

Walking in garden with Bern.

Wrote to Fairbairn, E. Wilson & Ellen ― & some journals, while at Church lasted.

Lunch. B.H.H. is silent & heavy often ― but is at heart the same good fellow as ever.

A walk to Mt. Coburn from 3 to 5.30 ― very delightful & doing me much good.

Dinner ― pleasant also ― & Evening more so than last night’s.
