Rose at 5.30. Fine. ― Off in Cab by 6.40, & Rail at 7.

Bad cab & horse, but got to Stratford Place at 8.15.

“We go no more,

To that Golden Shore.”

Eh! ― I am aweary & sad. ―

Maclean the elder came at 11. It would not be a bad matter to establish a purchasing of drawings at his place?

At 11.30 to the Rail ― & by 3 ― was at Lewes. The shaking of the rail bothers my head.
