Cloudy ― & a shower or two.

Rose at 5.30. ― & penned out & colored till 8.

Letters from A. Empson, ― Mrs. G. Scrivens, ― & others.

Worked at the Santa Maura drawings till 2 or later.

Tarrant sent home 2 dozen of the Παλαιοκαστρίτζα set. ― Lunch. & at 3 ― cab. ―

Lady Farquhar called & paid for her drawing.

Victoria station ― & found the Bradshaw all wrong ― & had to wait till 5.35. ―

At Shoreham station ― Mildmay met all the world. (Gibbs in another carriage.) Edwd. Clive ― 2 Miss Mildmays ― &c. &c. Walked in the grounds ―: change to cold weather. Dinner ― 7.45.

Very pleasant all ― & evening. But so cold that there was a roaring fire in the Drawing=room.
