Very fine & hot all day.

Rose at 5 ― not very well. ― Did accounts till 6 ― & penned out till 8. ―― Breakfast. After wh. penned out lazily all day at broken intervals.

Fortescue came ― & chose Meteora for his wedding present ― taking Spezzia for Lady Claremont
Leicester Curzon
Frances Countess Waldegrave, bought Constantinople & Athens
Willie J. Nevill.
Musters & Mr. Leighton.
Mrs. Mildmay (&Mlle. ―) who took away the Colossi of Thebes.

So there are only 10 of the large & 16 of the smaller drawings left.

At 6.30 ― went out as far as Porman Sqre. & left a card at the Wynnes.

At 7.30 ― went to Adml. Robinsons ― & as ever there passed a delightful evening. His variety of acute refined taste, & positive knowledge varied experiences, & charm of manner, make him one of 10 000
