Perfectly fine.

An unpleasant day ―: worry ― worry ―― all through.

The Zinc=man did not come at 9 as promised ― not till 2 or 3 ― so, the whole day went in waiting & worrying.

And when he did come ― & packed the case, he wedged it out so that the lid was useless.

Then came 2 letters: Fanny Coombe & Ellen Newsom.

Lady Westbury is dead!

Maria Coombe engaged to be married ― a Rev. Mr. Morse.

Walked out gloomily at 4.30 ― or 5 ― by the lane below the One gun road, & above the battery.

Dined gloomily at 7.30.
