Scirocco ― gleamy gray ― dimmy outline mountains.

& always warm. I let the fire out after breakfast now ― & have window open all day.

Worked at tracings & outlines of the “New Ionian Island Photographs &c.” ―

1. Corfu from the Hill of Ascension.
2. Corfu from Gastouri.
3. Palaiokastritza.
4. Castel S. Angelo.
& 5. Lefchimo ―
After 3 came “beõples.” ―
Napoleone Zambelli & 2 friends
Mr. & Mrs. Cruickshank.
Capt. & Mrs. Wilkinson ― all above par nice people. ―

Did not go out, Mr. Fonblanques sent me his “Japan” ― & the Lord High various papers ― so that there was enough to do. Dined at 7.30. ―

Oversaw G. writing, & penned out ― yet did not finish ― that everlasting [Péleca] view.

Happy day ― bisogna dire.[1]
