Wonderfully lovely all day ― but cold.

Ill all night. Took Medicine, & was rather better by 8. Rose at 9.30[.] Cold better.

Worked ― 3rd Day ― Mrs. Rawson’s Philæ ―& later, at the oil Ponte Pelissier view begun last year.

Straham came ― The Lord High is to come tomorrow. At 12.30 ― Mr. Bridgman=Simpson, Miss Labouchère & Miss Ring. At 1. Mr. Baillie & Lady Pigott ― who seem about to have 2 drawings. & at 3 ― Miss Irby & Miss Muir=Mackenzie.

Could not go out.

Dined on Mutton broth at 6.

Penned out till 9.30. Bed.
