Very bright & lovely ― but, cold.

L. Rawsons Philæ ―― 2nd day.

Worked pretty well & hard ― but suffering from cold ― wh. grew worse & worse ― & was very bad.

Col. West & Lord Seymour came: the latter seems a very queer cove.

At 4.30 ― I went out ― but was too unwell to go far, & came home, ― & wrote to Buchanan saying I would not come & dine.

Sent G. with the note, & sate in the dark till 7.30. Am now going to have an egg ― & then to bed.

Eyes & nose & head all bad.

horridly ill.
