Fine[.]

Woke ill. On rising ― a most violent attack of asthma. Worked as long as I could ― but was obliged to give up. Viletta called ― & Dr. Innes.

Went out ― very ill ― but called ― coughing continually ― on Οἰκονόμος ― Curzon, Scarpa, ― Zambelli, & Clark. ― wandered to Kastrades ― about 2 ― & then Mr. Baillie overtook me, & I showed him Ascension ―― a pleasure: ― returning by the road. But I had some warnings of fever, & went & got some Quinine, as well as Strœmonium. Dined ― always ill, at Carter’s ― Col. West & Mr. Brophy there. Home ― by that time done for: hot water & bed ―: altogether wretchedly ill.
