Rose at 7. Hurried breakfast. Carriage to station.

In rail 2 brothers ― Blackstone I think ― agreable: & one tells me of Corsica.

At 15 Stratford Pl. by 10.40. ― No letters. Paited a little at Gethsemane, Athens, & Parnassus.

Slept.

At 4. went  to Murray’s ― & to H. Farquhar’s, whom I saw, & hearing that the G. Clives had returned, (48. Eaton Sqre.) called there ― out all ― & was home by 6.

Archd. Peel & one Fitzclarence came[.] I wrote to J. Edwards, & to Mrs. G. Clive.

Dined, μόνος,

και επῆγα ‘ς τὸ κραββατι ― 10 ὣρας[.][1]


[1] Alone, and went to bed ― 10 o’clock (NB).
