Finer. ― but I resolved to go to Hastings. ―

Letters from J.B. Edwards, & Mrs. Rawson.

Wrote to C. Fortescue. Called, at 11, on Mrs. Manby. At 2.10. Rail to Hastings.

The Scrivens out.

Looked at some 12 or 16 lodgings: tired & cross.

Dined at the G. Scrivens’s ― at 6. ― Evening not so pleasant.
