Wet ― pouring till 3. Then fine.

Rose at 6.30. Greek. Very dark.

Worked at Florence, when it was light enough.

Ἦλθε κανεῖς.[1]

At 5. walked over the Park ― calling at T. Fairbairns ― & then on Julia Goldsmid, who was at home: ― not only a fascinating woman in manner & tact, but full of sense & intelligence.

To Trafalgar Sq. by 6.10.
