Very fine all day ― & warm.

Rose at 6. ― (The sale of W.G.B.’s things sad to see.)

Cross ― for that they did not send to put in the Athos.

Begin to work on the Figures ― in the Florence. ―

Came ― T.G. & Mrs. T.G. Baring ― Hutchinson ― Franklin & Kate Lushington all at once: ― & it was a pleasant lot.

Worked again ― & slept ― when came Vincent, a good fellow, who stayed some time.

Later, C. Fortescue, who staid till 6.

Dressed, a cab to G. Clive’s, at 6.30. ― The dinner was later than expected.

Later, came Theophilus & Mrs. T.C. ― T.C. is better tonight than I have seen him. Walked home ― Mr. Barker gt. part of the way.
