Sunday, 11 September 1859

Particularly lovely day.

We breakfasted at 9½ ― & talked till 2. [Ross] came.

At 2½ walked to Hastings ― Ecclesbourne & Lovers’ seat. Returning, met the Cockerells, which is a bore to me.

We dined at 7½ & talked till 11.
