Very windy ― gusty ― shiny or cloudy at times. ― Slept off fires ― for the smoke is not to be avoided.

Greek lesson, & paid Lasκαράτο ― 5 dollars. ―

Worked at Husey Hunt’s Jerusalem, & Lady Reid’s, & aperiently finished both, which is a relief to think of.

At 3½ ― made some calls ― all out ― & at 4 ― walked with P. Williams ― till 5½ or 6. Calls ― on Mr. Hay &c.

Wrote to the Chambers that I could not come. ―

Dined alone. Wrote Greek. ―

Windy ― dusty ― very cold.
