Rose very late ― reading P. Ferroll. ― Unwell. Did not paint ― packed & arranged.

Letters from C.F. ― & Clowes. Wrote to them. ((LEL, 86-8.)) F.L. came & said Palmerston had gone out. ― At 4½ walked the round solo: rainy at times. Dined alone, read wrote Greek, & made alphabets.
