Considering that on the whole I am in better “life” than at often & previous times: \\ ― & considering ˇ[also] that I have, (against me), much debt ― much uncertainty, & much unwillingness ― physical & mental, towards exertion, ― I am obliged to ask ― why am I better able to bear up against these drawbacks than formerly ―why am I in “better life.” ― The answer is ――――――――
